| We club at Afterhours (actually, no we do not)-- we just eat there drunk! <---click on that
Yo, whats up? What a great weekend. Hung out at the house last night and I cannot believe this, but we ended up at AfterHours at 3AM. We were the only people there, surprised? Didn't think so... OK-- For those of you who are not NUers, After Hours is the "anit drinking" club in the student center (now you know why it was empty). But it is also the only place that you can get good cheap food at 3 AM. There are no Lyndon Diners or Eat n Parks in the city (btw, cant wait for Lyndon over thanksgiving!). So we went to AfterHours, fully trashed, for some food. 10 of us order and a the end the girl asks where are sitting so she knows where to bring the food. WHAT AN IDIOT?!?!? We are the only people in there and she asked this! I mean come on, I'm drunk and I realize this! But the food was fuckin awesome and I even had left overs for today which made me happy.
Side Note... My birthday is on Thursday! Cards with large checks can be send to: Thomas Kelly 10 Speare Pl. Box 2005 Boston, Mass 02115
Okay, now I have to read about American Government for the rest of my life!
| Yo guys, whats up... havent written in a while, oh well. I've been a little busy. I would just like to say that the RHO CLASS is number one. We stole the Greek Follies title this year. Check it out at http://www.kappasigma.neu.edu/greekfollies2003.html. There are pictures and the video. It was GREAT! Theres not really anything else going on up here. You know what pisses me off-- the NU news showed the Tri-Sigs for winning, but didn't show us.

Side Note: Two weeks until I can shower with no sandles!
I dont know why, but I am so excited for Thanksgiving break. I mean its not like I'm homesick. I am having a blast here. I'm excited to see some home people though! I sorta wish that it was a bit longer. My flight comes in wed at like 3 and I leave sunday afternoon. If you wanna hang out, let me know!
Sorry this entry wasnt that exciting. This week is going wicked fast because I have been so busy. Theres not much going on this weekend, so I'll update sometime.

| Bums asking our broke asses for money
Nov 5th-- hey guys, another shitty weather day here in Boston, but we'll get over it. One thing I never really thought of until I came to Boston is homeless people. Now I think about it everyday, I mean... how can't I? You walk out of Starbucks and there are at least 3 homeless people fighting over your change from your latte. Then later that night you see a group of bums with drinking from a paper bag covered bottle. I mean come on people, I dont think its a Yoohoo. If I'm going to give you some money... don't use it for alcohol, I mean I might as well use it for alcohol...
Then there is the other thing I do not agree with AT ALL... and that is the freakin bottle deposit they have here in Mass. Everytime I buy a case of soda, I have to pay 60 cents extra for the cans. Granted, I could get this back if I brought the cans back, but I live in a room that is 10'x10', I'm not going to collect the smelly cans and then get on the T with my bag of cans to get my money back! I STILL RECYCLE... I throw it in the RE-NU (clever eh?) bins in the trashroom. (I'm know the university is banking off of this. I'm sure they turn in all of the cans, and STILL keep tuition outrageously high).
The only advantage to this... bums pick up the cans and return them for the money, which keeps Boston VERY clean (of recyclable goods anyways). Here is my proposition: Instead of the machine giving you money back, I think it should give you a like points to use towards some sort of shelter. I mean who uses those machines other than the homeless people?
OK.... I will stop now--- Cya tomorrow
| Nov 4th-- Hey guys, it's tuesday and Boston is full of shitty weather today. Yesterday was 70 degrees and I was wearing shorts... today I went out in pants and a sweater and froze. No wonder everyone is sick. Anyways, Tuesday is a great day-- only one class for an hour.
I figured I would get some shit done after class so I headed down to Boyslton St. to the bank and to return a book at Hollywood. I really needed a haircut soon, so I looked in this little coupon book thing for a place to go and there was one for $10 off on Newbury street, so I called and asked how much it was, and the guy said $30. In Lancaster, I would never pay $20 for a haircut, let alone $30. But this is Boston, and $20 is pretty cheap, especially for Newbury Street (considering armani, louis vitton, prada and all the other rich bitch stores are on this street--thats another entry). He told me I could come right in because they had a cancellation. I was happy becasue I was starting to get pretty shaggy. I went in (pretty nice place) and sat down, and he was like "Oh, they didnt tell you, but my rate is $40, not $30, do you still want the cut?" Well, I was already in the chair and I didn't want to look like a cheap fool, so I said go ahead. It took him 20 minutes and it was $40, WTF??? I mean it came out to $30 with the coupon, but my god, he wasn't operating... he was cutting my hair! I think I will make my way back to SuperCuts next time...
Well, until tomorrow | | |
